Currently, there is a debate over whether or not to teach “Intelligent Design” in school systems in the United States and abroad. This argument should not be misconstrued as a religious debate over whether or not there is a god. The issue simply is: whether or not it is prudent to teach “Intelligent Design” as a science. The arguments to follow herein will address key issues one at a time.
Science:The heart and soul of science is the scientific method. No thing or concept can be considered a science (fact) unless it can be tested and measured through the scientific method, of which, there are the following steps:
- Observation and description of a phenomenon or group of phenomena.
- Formulation of an hypothesis to explain the phenomena. In physics, the hypothesis often takes the form of a causal mechanism or a mathematical relation.
- Use of the hypothesis to predict the existence of other phenomena, or to predict quantitatively the results of new observations.
- Performance of experimental tests of the predictions by several independent experimenters and properly performed experiments.
Note that the observation of a phenomenon—for example, masses of people believing there is a creator—is the first step in the scientific method. However, where “Intelligent Design” fails to be a science is that there is no way to test or measure a “creator.” Some may chuckle at the previous statement and say, “Yes, exactly, you cannot measure God. God is beyond comprehension.” Yet again, that is not the argument. The debate is whether “Intelligent Design” is a science or not. Therefore, according to the scientific method—which is the basis of all known sciences—“Intelligent Design” is not a science. As a matter of fact, teaching “Intelligent Design” undermines all known sciences and the way scientists test and measure our environment in order to create new technologies, etc.
Irreducible Complexity:The proponents of the idea to teach “Intelligent Design” declare that there needs to be an alternative to evolution, which is taught in schools. The promotional documentation and videos—which is being passed around to the education authorities—suggest that “Intelligent Design” is an actual science, based upon the theory of Irreducible Complexity. In simple language, Irreducible Complexity is the notion that “some things are too difficult to comprehend.”
“Irreducible Complexity” is not a science because it too cannot be tested and measured. [The irony is that “Irreducible Complexity” touches on the realm of the chaos theory.] Furthermore, it is an especially harmful teaching.
It is not surprising that Irreducible Complexity is the premise of the argument for “Intelligent Design,” since the advertising material for the concept was produced and being distributed by fundamentalist Christians.
To explain why, look at the perspective of many followers in religion, who are quick to say, “Man cannot understand what is unfathomable” or “No one can comprehend the mind of God.” That is a detrimental mindset. It causes people to become complacent and disables creative thought. Also, it is very common to see its’ effects in fundamental Christians especially, (many of) who chose to not work towards: creating a better future or expanding their knowledge, due to the notion that “some things are too difficult to comprehend.” It is not a responsible concept to teach children. Children tend to take the easy way out. Therefore, it would be natural if a child chose to substitute their innovate potential for the so-called science of “this is too difficult for me.” Surely teaching “Intelligent Design” would indeed thwart evolution. It very easily could cause an irreparable stalemate on the next generation or two.Evolution of “Intelligent Design”:The human mind has an amazing built-in scientific method for reasoning. Some humans seek higher standards for the conclusions that they allow themselves to make. It is, therefore, a process of evolution that the teachings of “Intelligent Design” will trigger many minds to produce a more solid answer for “who or what is the architect?”
The mind naturally seeks to calculate and formulate answers, in order, to create a foundation of “truth.” In doing so, the most logical and quickest conclusion—which the evolution of the teaching in “Intelligent Design” would bring about—is the creator(s) has “alien” origins. Indeed, the teaching of “Intelligent Design” propagated by mainly fundamental Christians would backfire…in more ways than one.
Philosophy:“Intelligent Design” is a philosophy. If “Intelligent Design” is to be considered at all for teaching material in schools, it should be classified as philosophy. For that is what it is.
To teach “Intelligent Design” as a science is to mass-produce a cattle-mentality. Can you imagine a whole generation or two of people who only listened to commands and refused to challenge the creditability and truth in the statements of their government and religious leaders? …..THAT is true chaos.
Unlocking Your Consciousness
Unlocking Your Consciousness:
What is encoded in your consciousness?
As a child and throughout my life, I have felt out of place. Many of you probably feel the same way. Were we really born here? Is this really our home? I’m sure these questions sound familiar to some of you. If so, then you are the ones I want to speak to. As I am learning how to unlock my consciousness, I would like to help you as well as much as I can.
First of all, each person has many layers of consciousness like the layers of an onion. Those layers are constructed as one interacts with their surroundings and “learns” their world, which includes but is not limited to, the laws, the nature of the sequence of events, time, and acceptable mannerisms, etc. For example, Newton’s law of “what goes up must come down” is one of first things a baby learns. What I am speaking of is the cause and effect system.
Like bouncing ideas in a mainframe of consciousness, when an idea hits a wall, it bounces back. Then, in this realm of consciousness, humans think that the idea was flawed and therefore wrong or impossible. And so it builds a system of limitations and layers of consciousness.“Where there is a will, there is a way.” It has driven some insane to find the way, but there are no impossibilities. Impossibilities are not in our encoding. I remember as a child, hearing the adults in church marveling over Moses getting water from a rock. I remember thinking, “Why is that so surprising?” It took me many years, even into adulthood to comprehend how “water from a rock” is supposed to be a “miracle.” I had the same thoughts about many other “miracles” as well, such as Jesus walking on the water and the parting of the Red Sea. Those events just didn’t seem all that miraculous.
That is because those limitations are not encoded in my consciousness.
Personal Examples:Many of you may fly in your dreams. As a child, I wanted to fly so desperately. I would run and jump on my bed over and over. I got to the point where I could “fly” for about 8 feet, always softly landing on my bed.
Not too many years ago, I was in a store. It was crowded, and I wanted to get out of there. The idea hit me to fly over the people. I lifted up, and then realized that I couldn’t get off the ground. Then I realized, “Oh yeah, I can’t fly.” But, you see, the limitation in my consciousness is not there. It seems so natural for me to think that. Why?
As a child in elementary school, I would climb the walls of the bathroom, yes walls. No one told me that I couldn’t. So, I found a way. By putting one foot on one wall, and another foot on the opposite wall, I simply walked up the walls, until my back was flat against the ceiling and my arms dangled down.
Recognizing the Layers:Remembering who we are is a really important step to liberation from this plane of existence. Those layers of consciousness must be sifted through like peeling the layers of an onion: some of it stinks!
A major key to untangling all that has been “learned” is to quit lying. People lie to themselves to the point that they don’t even realize it. People need to remember who they are!
I have learned through the years some of the levels. I will list them, but this is by no means the absolute list for everyone. Some people may have more layers (bigger onions); and some of these things that I list may not even apply to some of you. (By the way, this is takes work, lots of patience and introspection.)
1. Fear of exposure. 2. Guilt & more fear of exposure.*Shame seems to be pervasive--in varying amounts—on nearly every level of the onion. This is especially true when a person realizes all the many ways that they lie to themselves. That in turn brings on some levels of shame of self. Even if no one else knows your thoughts, many times you may get mad at yourself after realizing how you have lied to yourself on certain issues. Just keep going through it. In the end, there is no need to fear or feel any shame! 3. Denial & Disobedient behavior to the natural encoding of your consciousness.
It causes inner struggles and blocks spiritual flow. People are often more worried about “doing the right thing.” Yet, the “right thing” varies from culture to culture and from region to region and religion to religion, etc. Don’t be afraid to do and say what you want. Find out what is natural for you, not for everyone else. Forget them! 4. Fanciful ideas.
This layer is like a Leprecon that acts distort sound reasoning and attempts to stop any further movement inwards. Although wishful thinking and the realm of possibilities is a wide-open ground in the end, I caution anyone who stops at this point. If you do, you will live in a fairy tale world of your imagination only, never evidencing anything. Therefore, my advice is “skepticism can be your best friend.” 5. Delicate balance. Here comes a step of balancing and weighing. Sort through, in your own perception, was is real and not real according to your comfort level. You may experience some fear, guilt and frustration. Get past those uni-corny ideas or alien rapture types, and evaluate your environment. Use a lot of logic. Start to ask questions. And think about the things around you and what makes sense or not. If it doesn’t “jive” in your being, ponder why. Open your eyes to look around you and allow for free thinking. 6. Stop lying to yourself.
Don’t settle for something that doesn’t make sense to YOU! You were given all the knowledge YOU needed to know yourself before you were born. No one else has that key. Therefore, the philosophers, preachers, and even me, cannot help you. If an idea or concept doesn’t make sense and you can’t understand the language of it, then apparently it isn’t part of you. Otherwise, it would come naturally to you. This portion is about finding your Tao, so to speak. Don’t try to fit a square peg into a round hole. What makes sense to YOU? Weed through the dogma. And think about what you were born with. What knowledge were you given? I know that I was not born with the knowledge of history or any religion. 7. Solids into a liquid state. This is a bizarre point. It is a place that you may or may not experience on your journey at different times in smaller amounts. Some people begin seeing this realm through synchronicities, which are only a tiny and elementary level of this particular layer of consciousness. However, it is important to be careful and pay attention to those things. It establishes a new basis of reality; whereby we see things as they are and not as they are withheld from view. This realm of existence is being trapped in our imagination like a dream. And of course, it is the mission to go into the waking world. Many people think that they are awake, but are not. A person’s desire has to be strong at this level. One must follow not only their heart but also strive hard to reach through this state of “matter” (which is NOT a solid). Remember Jesus mentioned somewhere in the Gnostic texts about a man being able to reach his hand into a wall. He meant that literally.I have some advice for you all who may enter or are at this stage. Be careful. Be very careful. I almost died over two years ago by thinking that I could do something that I wasn’t ready for.
8. Repeat Step 5 over and over.
“The Mystic Quest: An Introduction to Jewish Mysticism” by David S. Ariel, pages 20~21
The parable being explained comes from a passage in the Talmud (Hagigah 14b and/or Tosefta Hagigah 2:1).
“Akiva warned his colleagues that when they achieve a vision of the entranceway to the sixth palace, they are likely to be deceived: ‘When you come to the stones of pure marble, do not say, ‘Water, water!’’ Rabbi Akiva meant by this to warn his colleagues that they should respect the limits to which the mystical imagination can reach. In their visionary state they might see great boulders obstructing the entrance to the chamber of the king. Rabbi Akiva admonishes them not to trust their imagination for it might deceive them into believing that these awesome obstacles to the last palace are really fluid and not solid barriers. He warns them not to proceed beyond these limits and not to enter where they are not permitted.”
Peace between Esau and Jacob: An analogy of two poles of consciousness
Peace between Esau and Jacob
As upset as I have been at the “Esau crowd,” I have still felt so much love for them. The “Esau crowd” by definition is the people who are adamantly starting wars in the name of religion or law. Whether they have a religion or not, they all seem to agree that the rules, although rigid, are perfect and should never be strayed from. They will go to the existent of sacrificing their own children if need be for their cause of “good.” Sacrifices come in many forms from the belief in crucifixion to the sacrificing of their own “fleshly desires” as they would say. It doesn’t matter if they are Christian, Muslim or Jew, etc. They strongly believe in punishment if anyone deviates from the “code of conduct.” These are the hardcore hell addicts and death penalty pushers.
I have pondered their values and beliefs; and I have found them to be good. They want perfection and an idealistic system. They make great communists, because they are the side that maintains the “rules.”
They are the epitome of the laws of nature and pattern. They embody an absolute truth, as most of them know already.I have listened to them. I have heard them say they want peace. They find peace in the rules. As angry as I have been at times, I have a deep admiration for their constant struggle for good. They will settle for nothing less. It is admirable, even though their methodology
seems totally contradictory.
Even though they say they want peace, they are at war. Their reasoning is screamed daily. They feel like their rights are being intruded upon. They do not want to change, nor can they. Even if their own lives are in turmoil, through inner struggles, battling forces that consume them through their desires or their own guilt, they are the force that pushes the consciousness forward to producing a solution to find peace.
The other crowd was not given the same rules. They were not born with a built-in code of conduct per se. They may be somewhat aware of the rules, but the rules are not clicking in their heads to the point of absolute understanding. These people might be the dreamers, the artists, etc. Like myself, they are not fully understanding of the concept of “not being able to do” something. These are the people that have contributed to the evolution of technology, sciences, and the craft, among other things.
This second group is made up of angels. They want peace as well, but are in conflict with this existence. It’s just not their home.
The two forces are battling inside the womb, just like it says in Genesis 25:21~22:
“…Rebecca became pregnant. But the children clashed inside of her, and when this occurred, she asked, ‘Why is this happening to me?’…”From what I understand so far, there are two basic poles of thought that are fighting in this womb of earth. Unity will only be possible by separation: one will go to the left, the other to the right. And there will be one in the middle that holds the balance.
"And God saw all that he had made and said that it was very good."
Star Dust and Consciousness to Life to Life
June 2005---Waking Vision:
I was asked “Would you like to see the moment when the Torah was given?”
“Sure,” I replied, thinking I would be standing amongst the Israelites at the foot of the mountain.
In an instant, I was standing on top of the mountain, facing something that looked like an altar. There were only 5 to 7 (physical forms) of us on that mountain. They looked like men, but I knew they were angels.
A scroll came down in front of me and slightly to my right. Someone else was holding it. Then it was rolled out.
When that happened, I switched positions. Now standing on one end of the scroll, the scroll was rolled out in front of me like a large carpet or tongue, going out in front of me. Yet, it was about chest-high and touched the altar. The scroll was larger than the altar itself, spreading out over and beyond the sides of the altar.
I saw an angel to my left pick up a large rock. He raised his arm with the rock over the Torah scroll. He was about to break it into pieces. I screamed and yelled “No!” I spoke in protest for the Torah being destroyed, because all I felt at that moment was love for the Torah. I didn’t want to see it smashed into pieces.
Then I had the thought another attempt to destroy the Torah was about to happen. I watched and the scroll burst into flames. I was about to protest aloud again. I remember opening my mouth and gasping. But I stopped myself. In that same instant, I knew that this is the way it was going to be. I knew that even if I could stop the Torah from burning, it some other means would destroy it. So, I knew it was supposed to be destroyed by burning. And I watched in awe as the scroll went up in a trickle of smoke like incense. And the burning scroll became incense wafting up to the sky.
What it meant:
When I opened my eyes, I knew that I had seen something very special. And I knew that it was true in my heart. I was given the meaning of what I saw. I learned that the fire was speech. Speech creates waves, those waves can be seen (although not always by the naked eyes). Those waves are forms of light: fire.
When mankind—infused with the spirit of God, the Elohim—speak truth and opt for the benefit of mankind, they convert the Torah into light. The light comes from mercy: the mercy for mankind, instead of sacrifice.
“The Written Torah is light revealed, as we—the Elohim, being of one voice with many facets—speak Torah for the wellness of truth, opting for the benefit of man and replacing the need for sacrifice.”
~Melissa R. Lynch~
Lessons:
I have recently learned that thoughts create energy. That energy is converted into matter, which is not a solid state; and it is mutable on the atomic level, being porous. As light, being truth and consciousness, move through the matter, the matter is constantly being transformed into a higher state of energy/matter. It is a process of developing a higher consciousness.
We are merely thoughts. Like star dust in a nebula, we are gases of consciousness. We develop through thought, by asking questions and desiring to become part of the light, with the ability to carry a torch which was lit from another realm.
This realm (our Milky Way and all the seen stars and planets) was seeded from another realm. This realm acts like a womb…even a stargate for consciousness to go to another level of consciousness. We are like a membrane of thought inside the mother. The mother, by the way, has many lovers. There are a lot big worlds out there.
The ancients created religions, in order to preserve the knowledge of our existence and the sciences necessary to continue our evolution into stars and more. They had an easier time being able to understand these concepts because the womb was younger. Like an old woman, the womb gets weaker.
I have learned how man is reborn. There is a tunnel, a birth canal of thought, which acts like a black hole or even a white hole. The stuff from the other unknown and unseen universe(s) is coming back to this place in order to go through some type of rebirth process. Like an alternator on a car, it is a cycle that allows for eternal life. We are all parts of those beings or thoughts from the other unknown universe(s). Our fathers had to go back into the womb again. Their/our birth is contingent on the desire and correctness of consciousness (meaning mercy).
In a mathematical analogy, if the correctness (of mercy) is not there before birth, then the answer will be changed before it is written down. Such as, I can say, 2 plus 2 is 3, but then before I write the answer down, I change it to 4. Time is sliding back and forth, etc. in order to correct itself into perfection. It’s a master program with a master programmer.
All things are good.
Realization is better than a mystical experience. Realization is tangible and the thought has control over the elements of the knowledge, having seen the light and known its’ properties of creation. The light was created before it was actually seen, because it had to travel out and around, going from the voice to the eyes and then the message was carried to the brain. The messages are electrical impulses: Light. Once the light hits the brain, it will translate all things into a tangible reality.
My suggestion is that you study the stages of stars: from birth to death and beyond. http://www.astronomynotes.com/evolutn/s1.htm
Personal Note:
I have learned that it isn’t long now.
“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will be changed
—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.”
1 Corinthians 15:51~52
The Seed
The seed I planted…
This isn’t going to sound very eloquent; and there won’t be many big words as the attempt is made to step a little closer…I planted a seed; and I’m watching it grow.I stared at the big tree, the one with all the huge roots and the massive trunk. I looked up into its’ enormous branches and huge expansive foliage: a building of greenery. Like many degrees and awards, its’ bark shown the years of maturity. It made a fine centerpiece for the forest around it. The other trees looked so wispy. They appeared to be reaching towards their colossal neighbor in admiration. I watched as many people gathered to gaze at the tree, pointing and lifting their babies to touch its’ limbs. I saw people come and go. Over and over the cycle was repeated, year after year. I watched the tree.I saw the babies that once touched the tree come back to visit. Dressed in the finery of education and status, they brought girlfriends and wives and their own children too. I saw ceremonies both holy and otherwise preformed under the dark layers of leaves. I watched as a city was built and the other trees were cleared. The tree rose among its’ colleagues of skyscrapers. It became a class of its’ own, maintaining indestructibility. The tree stood for all that was right in the world, all that was good and pure, decorated by time and ornamented by weather. It was a beautiful tree. I marveled at how many people took note of the tree. …Thinking back, there was a time when the tree did not exist. It was merely a thought: My thought.I am the one that held the acorn. The acorn I still hold, wondering if I should make the tree. You see, the tree in all its’ glory is nothing compared to the choice of whether to plant the acorn in the ground or not. It is the moment before I open my mouth to speak that I am the Creator.
What came first?
by Melissa R. Lynch
“‘In the Bible time is reversed,’ said Steinsaltz, noting an odd quirk in the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament. ‘The future is always written in the past tense, and the past is always written in the future tense.’ … ‘Here, in Isaiah, it says that you need to look backwards to see the future,’ he said. ‘‘Where Isaiah says, ‘Tell the things that are to come hereafter,’ you can translate the same words to read, ‘They told the future backwards.’’”
~ “The Bible Code” by Michael Drosnin, page 175 ~
My son came into my office one day in order to tell me what had happened while he was watching Cable TV. He said that the screen showed a boy’s image while playing the recording of a girl’s voice. What he experienced was an audio/video timing error. But it made think of something. Light and sound do not travel at the same speed.
So, what we are actually seeing & perceiving NOW, may not be the ACTUAL voice of God YET. Apply the science to Torah.
Genesis (Bereshith) 1:3: “G-d said, “There shall be light, and light came into existence.”
The
“light came into existence” before it was created. Notice that the tenses of the verbs switch from past, future, and back to past.
In other words, "god" speaks from the past into the future. Then in the very instance the words are spoken, the light is created …or possibly beforehand?
Isaiah 66:7~9: “‘Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?’ says the Lord.”
God’s spoken words in creation …extend to the ends of that moment …stretching as far into the “future” as needed …in order to fulfill that moment of thought (creation). THEN, it boomerangs back to "him," having made the Light exist even before it was created.
We are living in the process of creation. And "god" has not necessarily spoken (yet)...or at least, we haven’t heard "god"…YET.
“The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” ~ Albert Einstein~
The Beginning of Freewill
The Beginning of Freewill"I am God and there is none beside Me" could be taken as an affirmation. However, it would be a stalemate for man to say that about himself. If so, there could be no growth potential.
The only way for "god" to be limitless is for "him" to be constantly increasing in size, ever-expanding and continually reproducing. Otherwise, "god"
could conceivably be calcuable. It might take bazillion years to calculate "his" size, but theoretically it would be possible. Therefore, "god" has to be ever-increasing, very rapidly and at an erratic pace. So that no machine could tabulate the formula, for there is none.
When my son was about nine years old, he came to me and asked, "Mom, when a tree grows, does the universe expand?" Then, he went on to explain his reasoning: that a tree starts as a seed, which is small, but gets much bigger. If the universe were not expanding, then the tree would have no room to grow. ...And my son would never have been born.
ELOHIMOne reason for extinction is the lack of adaptability. As humans--and a part of the Elohim--we
"are gods" (
Psalm 82:1, 6, & 7). However, if growth does not continue, we too will
"die like mere men" as the Psalmist wrote.
In the creation story, the characteristic name of "god" is Elohim. Although, "Elohim" is a plural name, the creation story eludes to a singular outcome. As in the verse,
"Let us make man in our image." It denotes one voice with many facets, like a choir in
unison, singing the elevation of man.
Like many Generation X-ers, I was mad about being brought into this world.
A divine logic struggled with an inflexible environment. My life seemed to lack purpose; and I simply didn't want to be here. But, as my thinking evolved, I became empowered with freedom. My goal is freewill: power over the uncontrollable.
Only "god" has true freewill. Everything else was involuntarily brought into existance.
Dare to be God, having all knowledge of all things. Then-- realizing that you are in physical form--ask yourself "why would you have chosen to be born when you did, where did, etc.? Why did you choose certain characteristics? Why did you choose to have particular flaws? Why are you, you? " Surely there must have been something that you saw--from your lofty position before birth--that you needed in order to obtain a higher goal.
